In order to be able to provide the functionalities of the Site in accordance with the provisions of the Terms and Conditions, we use the data you provide in the registration forms or if you apply for the opportunities published on the Site.
Some functionalities of the Site aim to assess the level of digital maturity of your company. The tool is free and analyzes a series of business dimensions, more specifically: digital business strategy, digital readiness, level of human-oriented digitalization, data management, automation and sustainable digitalization.
We may use the contact details you provide to contact you for market research or opinion polls, based on our legitimate interest. This helps us to understand the impact of the products and services we offer, to improve them and to deliver you quality content and products or services. If you do not wish to be contacted for this purpose, please let us know and we will take your choice into account.
By participating in an event – conference, working group, webinar, organized by DIZ partners from the xDIH consortium, within the Project “xDIH (Cross-Border Digital Innovation Hub Romania–Moldova)”, acronym xDIH, project number ROMD00134, you have the status of a data subject, according to Regulation (EU) 679/2016 (GDPR).
In order to meet some indicators within the xDIH Project, during the organized events, photographs will be taken of the participants (considered personal data), and some of them will be published on the project website https://xdih.eu or on the social networks Facebook and LinkedIn, from the official project account:

The retention period of these photographs is for the period allocated to the fulfillment of the purposes for which you have given your consent (the period of the project and the subsequent sustainability period). The operator ensures the data subject regarding compliance with internal procedures regarding the maintenance and security of data, including archiving rules. The photographs will not be transferred to third parties.
The personal data (photographs) will not be used for any purpose other than the one stated above. We inform you that, with respect to these processing purposes, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time (for all or only one of them), by a written request sent to the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași, or by e-mail to the Data Protection Officer (cpdcp@groups.tuiasi.ro).
Conference Organization:
xDIH events are organized by the Digital Innovation Zone Association (and its partners in the xDIH consortium: Technical University “Gheorghe Asachi” Iași (TUIASI), the Association for the Development of Electronic Communications and Innovative Technologies (ACETI) and the Technical University of Moldova (UTM), the first cross-border EDIH (Romania-Republic of Moldova) in the region, supporting people and institutions from RO & MD, offering modern learning spaces, collaborative curricula and shared digital expertise.
Use of photographic and video materials:
The Digital Innovation Zone Association takes photographic and video materials of event participants. By registering for a conference, you acknowledge that we may include images of you intact or partially for materials used in various publications, press releases, promotional activities or other related efforts. This material may also appear on the Digital Innovation Zone website or on related social media pages.
Using social media to share information:
Digital Innovation Zone welcomes and encourages the use of social media by participants. As a courtesy to other members, as well as to presenters at such events, please observe accepted social media etiquette.

You can choose what information you wish to receive by email in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. You can later change your mind or update that information.
CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS AND STATES TO WHICH YOUR DATA IS TRANSFERRED
In order to fulfill the processing purposes, xDIH processes data on the territory of Romania and the Republic of Moldova and may disclose certain categories of personal data to the following categories of recipients: entities in the ASOCIAȚIA DIGITAL INNOVATION ZONE-ZONA DE INOVARE DIGITALĂ Ecosystem and its partners in the xDIH consortium, judicial authorities or other public authorities of any type, international organizations, providers of services and goods, market research organizations, other contractual partners and/or authorized persons of ASOCIAȚIA DIGITAL INNOVATION ZONE-ZONA DE INOVARE DIGITALĂ, such as IT service providers.
The following data are stored and processed by xDIH, based on the provisions of art. 6 par. (1) lit. (f) of the GDPR having the legitimate interest of providing an optimal experience within the application opportunities: name, surname, email address, telephone number, city – for individuals, and respectively, company name, number of employees, name, surname, email address, telephone number, city – in the case of legal entities.
The personal data collected by xDIH are stored and processed, in accordance with the law, to ensure registration and participation in physical or online opportunities or events, organized in collaboration with the DIGITAL INNOVATION ZONE ASSOCIATION, as well as to provide additional support and information related to the activity of the DIGITAL INNOVATION ZONE ASSOCIATION.
DURATION OF PROCESSING
We store your personal data for as long as necessary to provide the products or services you have requested or for other essential purposes, such as compliance with legal obligations, dispute resolution and enforcement of our agreements.
As these needs may vary depending on the different types of data in the context of different products, the actual retention periods may vary significantly. The criteria used to determine retention periods include:
maintaining and improving the performance of the products,
maintaining the security of our systems and maintaining business records, in accordance with applicable law;
the period for which you have expressed your consent or until you express your intention in one of the ways provided in this policy to no longer retain the personal data provided;
the situation where a law requires the retention of personal data, to maintain data relevant to an investigation or data that must be retained in the event of a dispute.

Right to information: regarding processing activities.
Right to access data: you can request and receive confirmation from the DIGITAL INNOVATION ZONE ASSOCIATION-ZONA DE INOVARE DIGITALĂ regarding data processing (what data we process and for what purpose, where and for how long we store it, who has access to it, etc.).
Right to rectification: of inaccurate data, as well as completion of incomplete data through the Site.
Right to erasure: regarding part or all of your data. It is important to note that we will not be able to comply with the request in all cases, for example, when the law obliges us to keep the data for a certain period; the data is useful to us for a legitimate interest or for the defense of a right in court.
Right to restriction of processing: you can request that we not use the data, but only store it until another request from you is resolved.
Right to portability: you can request that your data be provided to you, for example, by email.
Right to object: You can object to data processing carried out on the basis of the legitimate interest of the DIGITAL INNOVATION ZONE ASSOCIATION. In order to be able to correctly analyze the situation and make a decision, we recommend that you explain your particular situation and why you object to the processing when you make your request.
Right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing: we do not carry out such processing through the platform.
Right to withdraw consent: when we process data based on your consent. It is important to know that the withdrawal of consent will only have effect for the future, and the processing ments made on other grounds, such as the execution of the contract, will not be affected by the withdrawal.
Right to lodge a complaint: if you are dissatisfied, you can always contact the National Authority for the Supervision of Personal Data Processing or the competent courts.
